Q: Who runs ShanaWood?

ShanaWood is operated by Shana Danielle Christian, a sole proprietor based in Baytown, Texas. I'm an independent seller — not a team, not a manufacturer. I curate the catalog and handle customer service personally, while orders ship from our U.S.-based fulfillment partner.

Q: Are you based in the U.S.?

Yes. ShanaWood is operated by Shana Danielle Christian from Baytown, Texas (6033 Garth Rd, Apt 10107, Baytown, TX 77521). I'm an independent seller — not a corporate entity. I don't hold inventory myself; orders ship from our U.S.-based fulfillment partner, and I handle customer service personally.

Q: Why does shipping take 5–12 business days?

Items ship from our U.S.-based fulfillment partner, not from a warehouse I own. Processing takes 2–5 business days and transit takes 3–7 business days by the carrier appropriate to the item's size. I'd rather quote a window I can actually hit than promise a date I can't keep.

Ordering & Shipping

Q: Do you ship outside the United States?

Not currently. ShanaWood ships only to the contiguous U.S. (lower 48 states). Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, military APO/FPO addresses, and international destinations are not supported yet.

Q: Is shipping really free?

Yes, on orders to the contiguous U.S. Shipping cost is built into the product price — no surprise freight charges at checkout. Lift-gate service for freight items is also included.

Q: When will my order ship?

Processing takes 2–5 business days. After it ships, transit is 3–7 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email within 1–2 business days after the order ships.

Q: My tracking number isn't working.

Tracking can take 24 hours to register after the shipping label is created. If it hasn't updated in 3 business days, email me at support@shanawood.com and I'll look it up directly.

Q: Will I be charged sales tax at checkout?

No. The price shown on the product page is the final price you pay. I do not add sales tax, handling fees, or any other surcharges at checkout. Standard shipping is included for contiguous U.S. orders. What you see is exactly what you pay.

Products

Q: Is the wood solid or veneer?

Each product page lists exact materials. Most pieces use a mix of solid hardwood for structural parts (legs, frames) and engineered wood with veneer for panels and surfaces. I never describe a piece as "solid wood" if it's not solid wood throughout.

Q: Do products come assembled?

Most arrive partially assembled. Final assembly typically involves attaching legs or installing shelves with the included hardware — basic tools (screwdriver or Allen key) are needed. Specific assembly requirements are listed on each product page.

Q: Is there a warranty?

Yes — a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the delivery date. This covers structural defects and finish issues not caused by normal use, accidents, or improper assembly. To make a claim, email me with your order number and photos at support@shanawood.com.

Q: Can I see a piece in person?

Currently no — ShanaWood operates online only. I'm working on partnering with a local Texas showroom for in-person viewing in the future.

Returns & Issues

Q: What if my item arrives damaged?

Take a photo of the damage and the packaging, then email it to me within 48 hours of delivery at support@shanawood.com. I'll arrange a free replacement or full refund — return shipping is on me for damaged or defective items.

Q: What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted for items that arrive damaged, defective, or not as described — email me within 48 hours of delivery with photos and I'll arrange a free replacement or full refund, with return shipping on me. I'm not able to accept returns for change of mind or preference, and custom or final-sale items are non-returnable.

Q: How long until I get my refund?

After I receive and inspect your return, I issue your refund within 7 business days. Your bank may take an additional 1–3 business days to post the refund to your account.

Payment & Security

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal — all processed through Shopify Payments.

Q: Is my payment information safe?

Yes. All payments are processed by Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. I never see or store your full card details.
